“Fake
news in our times”
In the last
days there was a rumor about a possible attack that was about to happen in the
Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso, in the light of this event, the classes
were cancelled the next day so there wouldn’t be any problems, I chose this problem
because I think that there is an overwhelming cases of fakes news and that this
situation only proves more to everyone that we cannot continue with troubles like
this.
I think that it is important because of the misinformation
that fake news spread through the inhabitants of the world, in this case Chile.
Instead of just believing everything that we read on the internet we should be
able to discern the true information of the false information.
A solution
could be the creation of programs to filter the information given by the media
and the social networks, working together with figures like Mark Zuckerberg and
many others we could accomplish features like impeding the spreading of news
like examples of the death of Silvester Stallone or Adam Sandler.
The participants on this issue are the persons
that believe everything they read without looking for further information and
also the ones that produce this fake information like corrupt journalists (I
know that this could be a little exaggeration) Some people just want to hurt
other people altering the important news that make the society survive and I believe
that this is a very regretful act.
Mmm, but in this case we can see a particular incident that concerns a person and an entire universitary community. It's not exactly a "fake news" like I understand it.
ResponderBorrarBeyond it was false or true, I think that puts in evidence the inhuman academic charge that certainly careers have, and how that affects the mental health of students u.u
I think that this is a misinformation problem that society has in general, we believe almost everything we see around, and that's a bigger issue which is more hard to fight and change.
ResponderBorrarI was reading yesterday the news about a little girl supposedly contracting HIV at a hospital in Rancagua. It wasn't true but since a newspaper said it, everyone thought it was. Fake news are dangerous!
ResponderBorrarA long time ago my mother said something like "don't believe everything that you see on tv", today it's the same , but on the internet.

ResponderBorrarThe false news is a problem that increases more and more, with the use of social networks anyone can say something that is a joke and is believed to be true.
